Vickye Lynn Smith

Vickye Lynn Smith, 68, passed away Tuesday,  November 22, 2022 at her home in Graham.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Vickye was born February 28, 1954 in Graham to the late Kenneth Charles and Florence Laverne (Brothers) Edwards.  Vickye loved spending time with family and friends especially in Creede, Colorado. After graduating from Texas A & M - Commerce she spent many years working for the Dept of Family & Protective Services. After marrying the love of her life (W.K.), they enjoyed many years of antiquing across the country and having auctions both in Texas and Colorado where they made numerous life long friends.  Vickye attended both Faith Center and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 

Survivors include: daughters, Amy Moore and husband, Gary of Graham and Karen Podgorski and husband, Wade of Graham; sister, Cherrye L. Meredith and husband, John of Olney; sister-in-law, Karen Burch Edwards of Denton; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, dearly loved nieces and nephews, and beloved furperson, Heidi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.K. Smith August 2, 2017, son, Jason Smith, brother, Ken “Bussey” Edwards, Jr. and grandson, Justin Smith.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
