Homer Lee Fields, 80, passed away at home surrounded by those he loves on Sunday, August 2, 2020. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

“Papa Farmer”, as he was affectionately known by his grandkids and great grandkids, was born on June 6, 1940 in Bryson, Texas to the late Lawrence Wade Fields and Etta Mae Cook Fields. Homer spent most of his life working in the oilfield. He dearly loved his family, especially his sweet great grandbabies. He could constantly be found making silly faces just to hear those kids giggle. He was a funny man, and had a very witty sense of humor. He never met a stranger, and loved to make people laugh. He was deeply loved by all who knew him, and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include; daughters, Dianna Hasley and husband Ted of Graham, Shelia Rangel and husband Ruben of Graham, and bonus daughter Penny Harnack and husband Russell of Abilene; sons, Jim Fields of Graham, Lawrence Fields of Graham, and Shane Fields and wife Kerri of Graham; Grandchildren, Justin Tolley and wife April, Sarita Tate and husband Justin, Rachel Easter and husband Sam, Kourtney Eanes and husband Jody, Chabree DeVries and husband Zac, Brionna Fields, and Taylor Fields, Kamryn Pittman, Kage Pittman; great grandchildren, Paris, Blaze, Brayden, Rayli, Casen, Ember, Jordan, Kole, and three others; brother, Lewis Fields and wife Angela of Bryson.

Homer was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Alvin, and Rupert Fields.

Visitation will be held at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.
