Phyllis Kaye Daigle

Phyllis Kaye Daigle, 63, went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 3, 2021. Services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Faith Center Assembly of God in Graham, TX. Visitation will be on Friday, March 12, 2021, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home.

Phyllis was born as the youngest child of Harold Leroy Daigle and Frances Bullock Daigle on November 23, 1957, in Inglewood, CA. Her two sisters, Sandra and Connie, prayed every day for a little sister; and God blessed the family with a true bundle of joy. She lived her life full of spontaneity and laughter, and her personality could light up a room. Phyllis loved God and loved others well. She approached life with optimism and strength. Her testimony of faith was summed up in her words, “God’s got this!”

Raised in Southern California, Phyllis graduated from Westminster High School in 1975, and continued her education at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, CA. She married in 1983 and was blessed with four children – Calvin, Robert, Christina, and David. She moved to Young County in 1990, and began her lifelong dream of living in Texas close to her grandparent’s ranch. During this time, Phyllis was a home health nurse for long-term care patients, and thoroughly loved caring for her patients as if they were her own family. She reaped the rewards of giving to others because many people cared for and supported her in her fight against lymphoma. In 2015, she met her loving companion Lee Henderson who supported her through stem cell treatment.

Phyllis loved all things Christmas, and her life revolved around the next December. Her favorite game was exchanging white elephant gifts, and wanted everyone to participate. Phyllis loved to be creative and started Christmas Magic so she could travel all over North Texas painting snowmen, nativity scenes, and reindeer on store windows. Phyllis also loved animals and always had many pets.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Calvin and Joy Daigle of Newcastle, Texas; Robert and Jenny Foster of Katy, Texas; Stephen and Christina Gaynor of Castle Rock, Colorado; and David Daigle of Graham, Texas; and13 grandchildren – Vanessa, Sara, Elizabeth, Sarah, Abigail, Jonathan, Nathanael, Harold, Miriam, Eva, Gabriel, Quintin, and Priscilla.
