Sue Decker

Sue Decker, 84, of Odessa, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 in Odessa.

Graveside funeral will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2020 at Cottonwood Cemetery in Bryson with Bro. Larry Wooldridge officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home in Graham, TX.

Wanda Sue (Clark) Decker was born February 7, 1936 in Graham, TX, the daughter of Thomas Earl Clark and Annie (Cox) Clark. She worked various jobs throughout her life but her main focus was being a homemaker and raising the love of her life, daughter Tammie Hammett.  Sue loved Dancing With the Stars and her Dallas Cowboys, even in the bad years.  She was famous for her ooey gooey butter cake and also infamous for bringing it to gatherings with a big piece missing.  Sue’s greatest joys though, came from being a Mother, Granny and GG. There is nothing on this earth she would not do for them and they all knew that she loved them a bushel and a peck and a great big hug around the neck. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Earl and Annie Clark and numerous brothers, sisters and family members.  And while we can no longer see her, we can rejoice in the fact that she is being embraced and reunited with the many generations of family that have been patiently anticipating her arrival.

Survivors include; daughter, Tammie Hammett and husband Terry of Odessa;  Grandchildren;

Jayson Hammett and wife, Sheryl, Adam Lewis and wife, Pam, Amy Campos and husband, Alex.

Great-grandchildren, lovingly referred to as her “baby dolls”; Casey, MaKayla, Riley, Tamara, Sebastian, Adleigh, Genevieve and Sophia; Siblings: Betty Wilson of Waxahachie,

Ida Weir and husband Truett of Jacksboro, Ethel Wooldridge of Graham, Don Clark and wife Shirley of Ft Worth, Lee Clark and wife JoAn of Georgetown, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held Monday, November 23, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Sue’s family would like to send their deepest appreciation to family, friends and loved ones for their kind words, thoughts and prayers.  Your love and support has been priceless throughout this time.
